During October three fantastic events were delivered in Ilford Town Centre to support businesses and to welcome visitors safely back to Ilford. These events commenced with:

2nd October – inIlford High Road Party

The event featured a James Bond lookalike, James Bond Aston Martin DB5, living red carpet, bond girls dance flash mob, magicians, music bands, ballerina acrobats and a community interactive art activity. Even with 16m of rain, footfall was extremely high with a great number of new visits to the town centre to take photos and enjoy the activities.

16th October – inIlford Food Festival

In honour of world food day and to celebrate Black History Month, the inIlford food festival took place on Ilford High Road. The event celebrated the diversity and culture in Redbridge with attendees and visitors wowed by the amazing food vendors featured in the town centre. The event also featured acts from the Black Eagles, an African Samba band, drum and dance family activities, African print art activities and a Black History Month trail for visitors to explore the town centre.

30th October – Halloween in Ilford

The Ghostbusters team and Ecto 1 were on Ilford High Road to save businesses and visitors from wizards, witches, zombies and enchanted mermaids. The event featured activities across the town centre including Exchange Ilford, Town Hall and Salma’s Hair Studio. Visitors were entertained with a pumpkin carving competition, fancy dress parade competition, balloon performer, the Ghostbuster team, the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 Cadillac, a zombie dance flash mob and a very enchanting mermaid.

Our next event - Christmas inIlford, 27th November

Our next event is our Christmas inIlford Light Switch on, which you will not want to miss! 

This year, we will have a Christmas like no other with a new and improved Christmas tree and light scheme which will be unveiled on the 27th of November. Join us with singers So Diva from the Voice UK, sing along to your favourite Christmas tunes, but be ready for a lot more. Our family event will feature artistic displays, competitions, trails, fireworks and more.
