We really enjoyed seeing you all at our Platinum Jubilee celebrations inIlford on Saturday 4^th June – we hope you had fun!

The event, which was packed with thousands of attendees, truly showcased the diversity and unity within our community. The atmosphere was electrifying with community members and businesses participating in the below event activities.

- Big lunch table catering to over 240 guests
- 20 food and craft market stalls
- 2 art stations including a royal mural
- 2 assault courses including a surfing activity
- Horse and stage coach ride
- Face painting
- Platinum Jubilee virtual reality trail
- The Exchange Ilford Tiny Gardens Project

The event also saw the official opening of Wilderness Street, which is located on Oakfield Road in Ilford, with winners being selected for a community gardening activity for best flower, herb and vegetable pots. This was followed by our talent competition winner announcements, thank you to all that entered and participated in the competition. The lucky winners can be seen below.

The event was attended by Deputy Lieutenant of Redbridge Thomas Chan, Mayor of Redbridge Thevathuray Jeyaranjan, Cllr. Khayer Chowdhurry, Deputy Leader of Redbridge Council Cllr. Kam Rai and Leader of Redbridge Council Cllr. Jas Athwal, who met with business, artists, traders, residents, contestants and awarded prizes on stage.

The event ended with fantastic fireworks display, which was hosted alongside event partners Exchange Ilford.

It really was a fantastic day celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years of service.
