Past life/new life – printing with found objects with artist Gal Lesham

Transform everyday objects and scrap materials into surprising tools for printing and mark to create personal mono-prints that reflect your sense of home and belonging. Experiment with textures on unconventional surfaces, create interesting compositions and layers of colour, while addressing the past life and uses of the objects.

Food for thought with artist Louise Weir

You are invited to a creative dinner party to share your stories, memories and experiences of food and eating through drawing and writing. These might be serious, funny, or even fantastical. When it comes to recipes nothing is “off menu”; it could be a magnificent feast or simply the toast auntie makes you at home. There will be activities suitable for all ages including young children.

Make a pop-up book with artist Fran Copeman

Join Fran Copeman, whose exhibition Folk discourse is currently on in the gallery, and create your own pop-up book. Made with a few basic folds, cuts and joining techniques, you will construct a handmade 3-dimensional book with a subject matter of your choice, which pops when you open it. No advanced skills required!
