Ilford InColour 2026 apply below (Paid opportunity)

We are looking for muralists, street artists and visual creatives to paint large-scale walls across Ilford Town Centre on 15 and 16 August 2026. Entry is free and participating will be paid depending on the locations on offer,your preference and what will be offered.

Ilford InColour is delivered by Ilford BID in partnership with Wood Street Walls, who are the official creative delivery partner for the programme. Wood Street Walls handle all artist applications, selection, communications and delivery from start to finish in partnership with Ilford BID and will support you on the day and lead up to the event.

About the programme

Selected artists will work in highly visible public locations across the town centre, contributing to one of East London’s leading public art events.

A few things to know before you apply:

  • Applications do not guarantee selection
  • All applications are reviewed by Wood Street Walls
  • Wood Street Walls manage all artist communications throughout
  • Finalists are confirmed by 4 July 2026
  • Selected artists complete their work during the event delivery period

Locations available  1.  Three-Sided free standing Structure (2.4m × 2.4m face)  2.  IF Bar hoarding (2.4m × 20m)3.  Bodgers Hoarding (2.4m × 12m)4.  Bodgers Alleyway (size TBC)5.  Hoarding Space off ilford high road (2.4m × 7.2m)6.  Chapel End Hoardings (approx 70–80m run) – split into sections Payment / Commission fee – this will be confirmed during artist selection, dependant on location choice, time available to paint and size of space

On the day

Alongside the live mural painting, visitors can expect face painting and interactive art, fair rides and family attractions, music and DJ performances, and market stalls and local traders. Free entry, all ages, 12pm to 5pm.
